The bathroom is usually the second most wasteful part of anyone's house. We use so many products! Sadly for most of the products we buy, they are not recyclable. Even scarier, they are filled with tons of harmful chemicals that our bodies definitely don't need. There are many items that cannot be purchased in the bulk sections for the bathroom, so making them is our best plan B and will again, save you money. Below, are a few items that can be made at home with easy zero waste ingredients:
Toothpaste: This is a very simple product to make at home. Just baking soda (bought in the bulk bins or in paper to compost/recycle), organic unrefined coconut oil (bought in glass which is recyclable or can be upcycled), and essential oil (bought in glass and is recyclable). Check out my recipe

Lotion: Honestly, I just use that same organic coconut oil right out of the jar.
Scrubs: I mix organic coconut oil, sugar (bulk bin), and essential oils.
Lip Balm: Check out this recipe

Hairspray: Check out this recipe

Moisturizer: I use a combination of coconut oil and vitamin e oil. I might have an obsession with coconut oil.
I could literally go on and on and on with the copious amount of products you can make at home with very, VERY simple ingredients but that would take all day! ;) Go on Pinterest or just Google DIYs on alternatives to the products you currently use. Think of all of the money you'll save!
