30 Days to Zero Waste (Day 13: Reusable Menstrual Products)

Periods are wasteful, stressful, uncomfortable, and expensive. A woman will use nearly 11,000 tampons or pads in her lifetime. That's about 62,415 lbs of garbage going into the landfill every year in the United States from us. On top of this, the products are made and soaked in chemicals that I don't really want near or in my lady bits. Bleached cotton? No thanks. I swear my life changed when I found the menstrual cup. Best. Thing. Ever! I'm not going to go into details about how amazing they are since that will be a whole post in itself in the future, but let me tell you, they are amazing! Look these babies up. A few of my favorites are below:

Lunette Cup

Diva Cup

Sckoon

Menstrual cups not 100% for you? That's ok! Try reusable cotton pads like these from GladRags or you can also make your own! :)
